A British retiree passed away in Krabi with a condominium unit, two Thai bank accounts, and a will drafted in the UK. His Thai wife and adult children from a prior marriage were named as beneficiaries under different legal systems.
We reviewed both the UK will and Thai law requirements, advised on the applicable framework for the Thai-held assets, and prepared a probate petition for the Krabi court that addressed the cross-border nature of the estate.
